2.7 Million fire extinguishers sold in Canada have been recalled.
Kidde Corporation, based in North Carolina., said Thursday it is recalling 134 different brands of fire extinguishers manufactured between Jan. 1, 1973, and Aug. 15, 2017. The recall includes models that were recalled two years ago.

Please take a moment to check your home, recreational and work extinguishers and if you are unsure if they are affected by a recall, contact the manufacturer.
While we have strict regulations for fire extinguisher servicing in the workplace, many people overlook maintenance for the extinguishers that we have at home, the cottage, in our RV’s, boats, vehicles and elsewhere. When in doubt, please replace them or take them to be serviced professionally.
